Diane "Di" (Brock) Deckard

Diane “Di” Deckard, age 80 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 5:00 am on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Emmerson and Jeff Trovillion officiating. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Diane was a retired cosmetologist and a member of Hindsboro Christian Church.

Diane is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald “Ron” Deckard; daughter, Carrie Obermark and husband Kevin; son, Drew Deckard and wife Heather; grandchildren, Kaylee Territo (Nick), Kassie Little, Clayton Obermark, Kurtis Obermark (Summer), Graycee Deckard, and Daniel Deckard; great grandchildren, Emmie, Hunter, and Walker; brother, Charles Brock (Starre); several nieces and nephews.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Varde Wade and Edith Mae (Fortune) Brock.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 12 noon to 2 pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made in Diane’s name to March of Dimes National Office, 1550 Crystal Dr, Suite 1300, Arlington, VA 22202 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
