Jack W. Adair, Jr.

Jack W. Adair, Jr. 70 of New Burnside, IL, formerly of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 2:56 pm on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Jack was a security guard, a member of New Burnside Mission Church and loved to fish, play chess, checkers and cards.

Jack is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Adair) Carnes of Saunemin, IL and Elizabeth Adair of Metropolis; son, Patrick Adair of Fayetteville, OH; grandchildren, Aidan, Skyla, Chey, D’mitri, Riley, Rose and Aika; sisters, Bonnie (Adair) Willis of Metropolis and Jackie (Adair) Stallings of Almo, TN; brother, John Wade of Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack W. Adair Sr.; mother, Betty (Odom) Wade; and wife, Brenda J. (Meyer) Adair.
