Joseph Vibbert

Joseph “Joppa Joe” Vibbert, age 69 of Joppa, Illinois passed away peacefully at home with Vera by his side on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 6:15 am.

He is survived by his wife, Vera; brother, Kelly (Danielle) Vibbert; daughters, Cristie Vibbert, Sunshine Vibbert, Misti Vibbert, and Shannon Weisbrod; step children, Veralynn Ellsworth, John Brown, Martin Brown, and Thomas Williams; grandchildren, Codi, Colton, Cori, Gabrielle, Ayden, Iyan, Ashlynn, Jagar, Dakota, Tiffany, Jerrad, Alexus, Brandin, Kayla, Josh, Hailey, Madison, Julian, Theodore, Caleb, Ayden, Kyla, Jaxon, Riley, Tegan, Kayla, Thomas Jr., Sofia, Jace, Layla, Jax, and Jayden; 20 plus great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Artist Vibbert; mother, Wanetta Debolt; brothers, Chuck Vibbert and Richard Vibbert; sisters, Tammy Vibbert and Ina Harris; nephew, Justin Vibbert; granddaughters, Vanessa and Destiny Weisbrod.

He will be remembered for his “light” hearted jokes, dark humor, and as a hard worker. He will forever be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Joppa Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 2 to 4 pm with a meal following.
